Factory New BF1500A Amphibious Floats
To be FAA Certified on Piper J-3, PA-11, Taylorcraft Series Aircraft.
LSA approved on the Carbon Cub SS & the Sport Cub S2.
- FAA TSO C-27 approved gross weight = 1600 lbs
- 100 % fresh water displacement = 1445 lbs
- Installed weight including struts and all accessories = 230 lbs
- Gross weight for LSA aircraft = 1430 lbs

- Main gear tire size = 4.00×4 6 ply, Nose tire = 2.80×2.50 6 ply
- Mechanical landing gear retraction and extension. No hydraulic or pneumatic pumps required.
- Shock absorption for nose and mains.
- Constructed from 6061-T6 aluminum, including fittings, struts and skins.
- Consist of seven water tight compartments sealed with 3M 5200 caulking.
- Modern bottom skins are fluted and die formed with compound curves, which eliminates cross bracing and makes them stiffer and lighter.
- Storage compartments in each float with the option of two hatches per float.
- Included are dual water rudders, all hardware, struts, spreader bars, steps, cables flying wires, cleats, paddle brackets, paint and non-skid top deck coating. (Stripe additional)
- Spreader bars and struts are easily removed from outside the float.
- Float parts are acid dipped, iridited and zinc chromated prior to assembly.
- Fittings, water rudders, cleats and paddle brackets are anodized.
- Riveted using half inch spacing on the top rails and chines to ensure a water tight seal.
- Fluted bottoms ride much smoother in rough water and transmit 15 to 20 percent less loads into your aircraft.
