N156CC - 2004 CubCrafters Built PA-18
A real load hauling Alaska bush plane. This PA-18, upgraded with the entire Top Cub package of modifications (including the 2,300 lb. gross weight airframe and wings) was featured in the 2009 ‘Alaskans fly Alaska’ video. This aircraft and others like it are the the real two place tandem workhorses of back country flying. Featuring over 1000 lbs. of useful load, equipped with 31” bush wheels, an Alaska cargo pod, and a 180 HP Lycoming power plant, N156CC is ready for back country work or play.
This is also the very last Cub that was ever built under the Piper PA-18 150 Type Certificate. As such it’s the youngest aircraft in the entire worldwide Super Cub fleet. Built new in 2004 by CubCrafters, with no damage history and less than 500 hours total time on the airframe and engine, the care taken by the previous owner is apparent. It looks great and it flies like a brand new airplane.
A fresh July 2014 annual inspection is included in the sale.
