High Pressure Brake Booster Conversion
Newly updated, this STC is approved for all
Super Cubs with factory style 6" Cleveland Wheels and Brakes
(including the PA-19 series, and all PA-18 and PA-19 seaplane models
when they are converted to landplanes). This STC removes the
diaphragm from the Scott master cylinder and replaces it with a
piston and cylinder. Braking pressures are increased with no
increase in pedal pressure. Since the original Piper low pressure rubber brake line
(from the master cylinder/parking brake valve to gear leg) is not
rated for the increased hydraulic pressure, it must be replaced.
